Museum
Yokohama Dental Museum
Modern dentistry in Japan is said to have begun when Western dentists who came to Japan after the country opened up, such as the American W.C. Eastlake, started dental practices in the foreign settlement of Yokohama. With a strong awareness of this history, the Kanagawa Dental Association, under the initiative of its then-president Masuo Kato, opened the Dental Museum concurrently with the completion of the Kanagawa Prefectural Dental Health Center (Kanagawa Dental Association Building) in 1987.
